Harlen Frederick Honored



At the last meeting of the West Virginia State CCC Museum Association on January 16, 2013, held at Ryan's Steakhouse, Clarksburg, Harlen Frederick of Fairmont was honored. Frederick, 92, a former CCC "boy" and 1st inductee into the West Virginia State CCC Hall of Fame (2010), was presented a framed photograph of his wife, Frances at ceremonies. Frederick's wife, Frances was a dedicated patron of the CCC and worked tirelessly for the State CCC museum located in the historic Quiet Dell School in Harrison County.  She passed way last year. "We are very proud to recognize Harlen for all he has done. He presently serves on the board and is highly interested in all we do." Stated Charles Piercy, acting president. "Frances attended almost every meeting and was a great support to her husband. She truly loved the CCC and all it stood for. She is sadly missed." added Piercy.
