Camp Anthony,  Company 2590, F-18

Camp Anthony was operational with CCC Co 2590 in garrison from August,1935 to mid March of 1942. It was located in Neola, Greenbrier County. The Conpany, designated as F-18, was charged with the usual Forest Service missions of fire fighting, tree planting, road construction and other forest management projects.

In May, 1941 the unit was transferred to the Marlinton vicinity at Black Mountain, using the campsite of CCC company F-15 for the summer, before returning to Neola in the Fall. There it remained until March, 1942 when the personnel were transferred to Jane Lew in Lewis County to become part of  SCS-12 at Camp Stonewall Jackson.
