Fall 2011 CCC Jubilee and Reunion










Eight Civilian Conservation Corps Vets were welcomed and recognized at the Fall Jubilee Reunion. The local newspaper, the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram carried our event with a fine spread in the Sunday, October 16th, paper.  Left to Right:  Denzil McEldowney; Ken Scribner, Harlen Frederick, B.D. Ken Cole, historian, traveler, and famed auctioneer from Winston Salem, North Carolina did a remarkable job in conducting the Fall Jubilee Auction.  He and his New York CCC Vet, Ken Scribner made the long trip and were welcomed enthusiastically by the WVCCCMA membership.

B.D. Linn carefully looks over CCC memorabilia display at Jubilee. Linn was Inducted into the WVCCCMA Hall of Fame during ceremonies October 15, 2011. Harold E. Wilson had planned to attend, but, his wife fell ill. Henry J. Bingman and John C. Boling were inducted posthumously.


















West Virginia State CCC Museum Association Hall of Fame perpetual plaque goes on display for the very first time at the Jubilee Reunion. It will be placed prominently at the WVCCCMA Museum. Every Hall of Fame Honoree represents all CCC Vets living and deceased.
