Camp Twelve Pole,  Company 3540, S-71

Camp Twelve Pole was occupied by CCC Company 3540 and located in Mingo County, just across the line from Wayne County. The camp was operational from July 1935 to early April in 1937. A primary mission of Co 3540 was to help in the development of Cabwaylingo State Park. In this major undertaking and accomplishment, the CCC of Camp Twelve Pole worked side by side with CCC "Boys" from Camp Anthony Wayne.

Many of the park's original structures including trails and picnic facilities are still in full use. The park superintendent today lives in the original park headquarters building.
